Grace Jabbari has officially dismissed her assault and defamation lawsuit against her ex, actor Jonathan Majors, following a legal battle that started after his 2023 conviction. The lawsuit was filed in March 2024, shortly after Majors was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment in December 2023. Jabbari had accused the "Creed III" star of a pattern of domestic abuse, which she claimed started in 2021 and continued through 2023.

Jabbari's lawsuit alleged that Majors physically abused her, including an incident in September 2022 where he allegedly threw her against a car and then hit her head against the floor while strangling her. She also accused Majors of defamation, claiming that he falsely labeled her a liar during interviews after his conviction. "I have never laid [my] hands on a woman," Majors had stated in a television interview, which Jabbari cited as part of her defamation claim.

However, court documents filed on November 21, 2024, confirmed that Jabbari had dropped all claims against Majors, filing a stipulation of dismissal "with prejudice," meaning the case cannot be reopened. Both parties agreed to dismiss the case, but no reason was provided for the decision. "The lawsuit was successfully resolved," said Jabbari's attorney, Brad Edwards. "It took tremendous courage for Grace to pursue this case. We are happy to have helped her close this chapter favorably so that she can move forward and begin to finally heal."

This decision comes months after Majors was found guilty of assault charges related to an argument in March 2023. Despite being sentenced to probation and a year of domestic violence counseling, Majors maintained his innocence in interviews, which led to further public scrutiny. His career also suffered significant setbacks: he was dropped by his PR and management teams, and Marvel Studios fired him from his role as Kang the Conqueror in future "Avengers" films.
