Reggaeton icon Daddy Yankee, 47, has filed an injunction in San Juan, Puerto Rico, against his estranged wife, Mireddys González, and her sister, Ayeicha González Castellanos, claiming they withdrew $80 million from El Cartel Records' bank account without his consent. The court motion, filed on December 13, details allegations of financial mismanagement and unauthorized corporate interference.

El Cartel Records, founded by Daddy Yankee in 1997, has been central to his musical success. González served as CEO while her sister acted as secretary and treasurer. According to the filing, González ignored a prior warning prohibiting transactions and withdrew the funds on December 12. Daddy Yankee alleges this act compromised the company's operations and violated corporate protocols.

In his court statement, the "Gasolina" singer said, "In spite of being the owner of the company's shares and the reason for its existence, I lack access to and control over what I generated and continue to generate." He has requested the immediate removal of González and her sister from all administrative roles in the corporation.

Daddy Yankee also raised concerns about the recent sale of his music catalog to Concord for $217 million. He claims González hired an external representative without his authorization and that the sale price was "unreasonable, disproportionate, and far below the real value." Furthermore, he stated that he remains uninformed about the terms of the transaction and its implications for his creative rights.

The high-profile case follows the couple's announcement of their split on December 1 after nearly 30 years of marriage. Reflecting on the separation, Daddy Yankee wrote on Instagram, "After many months of trying to save my marriage, my lawyers responded to the divorce petition received from Mireddys. I respect her decision and will always cherish the time we shared as a family."

Daddy Yankee and González married in 1995 and share three adult children: Jesaaelys, 28, Yamilet, 27, and Jeremy, 26. Despite the legal battle, he expressed gratitude for their shared journey, describing their union as "full of blessings and values."
