Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are embracing the holiday season with cherished family traditions. Last month, the Duchess of Sussex shared her love for Christmas and the memories she looks forward to creating with their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

Speaking to Marie Claire, Meghan revealed that one of their favorite traditions is leaving out "carrots for the reindeer." Reflecting on the joy of celebrating as a family of four, she said, "At first, as a mom, you're just enjoying having your children there, even though they might not understand everything. But now, they're at an age where I can't wait to see Christmas through their eyes every year. Every holiday becomes a new adventure."

Meghan also highlighted the importance of traditions, such as cooking recipes that could form lasting memories for her children. "It's all about the magic," she added.

This year's Sussex holiday card marks the first time Archie and Lilibet have appeared in the family's Christmas greetings since 2021. The card features a heartwarming photo of the siblings running towards Harry and Meghan, their backs to the camera, showcasing their bright red hair. While this card was shared for professional purposes, the family reportedly sent a private version to close friends and relatives, which will remain undisclosed.

Unlike other royal family members gathering at Sandringham, the Sussex family will celebrate Christmas in the U.S., likely joined by Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland. According to PEOPLE, Harry and Meghan were not invited to Sandringham this year amid strained relations between Harry and his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William.

Sources have previously revealed tensions between Harry and his father, particularly over security concerns for the Sussex family. Harry last saw King Charles in February after the monarch publicly announced his cancer diagnosis, but communication has reportedly deteriorated since then. Attempts by Harry to reach out about his father's health have allegedly gone unanswered.

During the New York Times DealBook Online Summit earlier this month, Harry expressed his gratitude for life in the U.S. "I enjoy raising my kids here," he said, adding, "This is the life my mom would have wanted for me. It gives me opportunities I wouldn't have had in the U.K., and I'm deeply thankful for that."
