Richard Gere has no regrets about bidding Hollywood farewell. The couple provided an update on their progress across the Atlantic months after the Pretty Woman star and his wife, Alejandra Silva, moved to Spain.

In an interview with Elle España that was published on January 21, Richard stated, "The truth is that you are seeing us in our momentum." "We've never been happier."

And the 75-year-old says that living in Spain is the main reason for that contentment. "She, because she is at home, and I, because if she is happy, I am happy," he clarified.

The couple, who have two sons together (Alexander, 5, and James, 4), as well as Richard's son Homer, 24, from his marriage to Carey Lowell, and Alejandra's 11-year-old son Albert from a previous marriage, can point to their relationship as a constant, despite the fact that a lot has changed since they first met in 2014.

In their joint interview, Alejandra said, "We are like soulmates." "From the first moment, we felt as though we had known each other for a very long time because we share the same beliefs and worldview. And if this occurs at all, it only does so once.

"The karma of our previous lives brought us together," the 41-year-old continued.

Alejandra also discussed the speed at which the two, joined by their three youngest children, have settled into their routine in Spain.

“Richard is a very devoted and present father,” she gushed of her husband of seven years. “He loves to read them stories. It seems like an idyllic photo, but it’s true. He’s a great dad.”

She continued about their inner world at home, “He doesn’t cook. I do it, but when I cook, he plays the guitar.”

What brought them to Madrid was also clarified by the PR. It turns out that Richard and Alejandra were pulled to Spain for humanitarian reasons in addition to her desire to come home after seven years of dating in the United States.

Alejandra said, "The only reason Richard and I are in Madrid is to serve on the board of the NGO Hogar Sí." "Our goal is to assist this nation in eradicating homelessness. We want to see no one sleeping on the streets in five years.
