Travis Kelce is gearing up for another Super Bowl appearance, but this time, it's a bittersweet moment as his brother Jason Kelce is not by his side. Jason, 37, announced his retirement after a successful career, leaving Travis to carry on the family legacy alone. In an interview on Monday, February 3, at a press conference in New Orleans, Travis spoke about his feelings leading up to the big game.

When asked if he wished Jason could be there with him, Travis responded, "Of course."While Travis is excited for the game, he acknowledged that Jason's retirement has opened up new opportunities for him to focus on things that matter most to him, particularly his family. Jason, who is married to Kylie Kelce, is the father of three daughters: Wyatt (5), Elliotte (3), and Bennett (1). In November 2024, the couple revealed they are expecting their fourth child, a daughter. Travis mentioned that Jason now gets to spend more time with his family, a luxury that wasn't as feasible during his playing days.

As Travis prepares to represent the Kelce family on Sunday, he emphasized that he would give his best effort on the field. Despite Jason's absence, Travis is determined to make his brother proud. In their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Jason shared that he would be cheering for both his former teammates and Travis during the Super Bowl. Although it's a complex situation, Jason noted that he'd feel both happiness and sadness, depending on which team comes out on top.

The last time the brothers faced off in a Super Bowl, in 2023, the matchup between the Chiefs and the Eagles was dubbed "Kelce Bowl." Now, as the Chiefs head into the 2025 Super Bowl against the Eagles, there's an added layer of family connection. If the Chiefs secure a victory, they will become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, making the upcoming game even more significant.

The Chiefs and Eagles are set to play in the 2025 Super Bowl at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, at 6:30 p.m. It's shaping up to be another memorable chapter in the Kelce brothers' remarkable careers.
