The legal dispute between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has intensified, with new allegations emerging regarding Baldoni's behavior on set.
In an amended complaint filed on February 18 against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, Lively claims that she was not the only one who raised concerns about Baldoni's conduct. "Ms. Lively was not alone in complaining about Mr. Baldoni," the court document states, adding that two other female cast members also felt "uncomfortable" working with him. The complaint further alleges that Baldoni "acknowledged the complaints in writing at the time," contradicting his current stance.
One of the actresses reportedly expressed concerns to Sony's Ange Giannetti and a film producer in May 2023, stating that Baldoni's behavior was negatively impacting the production. "Notwithstanding that female cast member's considerable reservations with coming forward, she nonetheless spoke up and conveyed her feelings that the work on the film was suffering as a result of Mr. Baldoni's behavior," the filing states. According to Lively, while Baldoni later responded in writing, noting that he was "aware of her concerns, and that adjustments would be made," no investigation or protective measures were implemented by Wayfarer Studios.
A second actress reportedly confided in Lively that she, too, felt uneasy on set. The complaint asserts that this concern was documented in writing nearly a year before post-production began. The names of the actresses have been withheld due to what Lively describes as a "dangerous climate of threats, harassment, and intimidation fueled by the Defendants' retaliation campaign." However, the document claims that the witnesses "have given Ms. Lively permission to share the substance of their communications" and are prepared to testify.
This latest development comes amid an ongoing legal battle that began in December 2023 when Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni. In response, Baldoni has denied all allegations and countersued for defamation, targeting Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicists in a $400 million lawsuit. He also filed a separate libel suit against The New York Times for its reporting on the matter.
The dispute has now extended beyond the two actors, with crisis management consultant Jed Wallace filing a $7 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, alleging he was wrongly accused of participating in a smear campaign against her. Meanwhile, Lively's attorneys have added a defamation claim to her complaint, accusing Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, of disseminating "inflammatory content to media outlets" in an attempt to discredit her.
