Hollywood's favorite off-screen couple is bringing their chemistry back on-screen! Gossip Girl alum Leighton Meester is set to guest star alongside her real-life husband, Adam Brody, in season two of Netflix's hit romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This.

Netflix confirmed the casting news on Feb. 20, announcing that Meester will play the middle school nemesis of Kristen Bell's character, who happens to be Brody's on-screen love interest.

For fans of the couple, this latest project is another exciting chapter in their history of working together. Meester, 38, and Brody, 45, first met while filming The Oranges in 2011 and have since appeared together in projects like Single Parents and River Wild.

Brody, known for his breakout role as Seth Cohen on The O.C., has been receiving high praise for his performance as Noah—the "hot rabbi"—in Nobody Wants This. His role even earned him a Critics Choice Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series earlier this year. Meester, his biggest fan, couldn't be more thrilled.

"I'm just so, so proud of him and think he deserves everything," she told E! News in an interview.

In true Meester fashion, she also threw in a playful compliment:

"He is able to embody that because he's hot, OK? I said it. And also because he's truly a wonderful person who was able to bring so much humor and humanity to that role."

This isn't the first time Meester and Kristen Bell have worked together, either. Meester made a guest appearance on Veronica Mars in 2005, while Bell famously served as the narrator for Gossip Girl throughout its run.

As for Brody and Meester, they've built a reputation as one of Hollywood's most low-key yet beloved couples. Married in 2014, the two share two children and tend to keep their personal lives out of the spotlight—except when it comes to supporting each other's work.

With Nobody Wants This returning for a highly anticipated second season and Meester set to shake things up, fans can look forward to an entertaining, real-life couple dynamic playing out on screen.

After all, who wouldn't want to see Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf together again—just in a slightly different setting?
