The rodeo community mourns the loss of 20-year-old influencer Valeria Mireles, who died on March 10,  following a car accident in Nuevo León, Mexico. Known affectionately as "Miss Rodeo" and "Mexico Rodeo Queen," Mireles had built a substantial social media following showcasing her cowgirl lifestyle and barrel racing talents.
 
Before her untimely death, Mireles posted her final Instagram update on March 7, sharing a carousel of professional photographs. These images now serve as a poignant memorial, with the comments section transformed into a space for grief and remembrance from her followers.
 
The Mexican Rodeo Federation released a statement honoring her impact: "Valeria was more than a rodeo queen; she was an ambassador of cowboy culture, an inspiration to many young women. Her smile lit up every arena, and her passion for rodeo was contagious." The federation acknowledged the void her passing creates while affirming her enduring legacy.
 
Family members have requested privacy during this difficult period. Her parents declined to provide further details about the accident, according to Mexican news outlet N+, choosing to grieve away from public scrutiny.
 
Mireles had amassed approximately 100,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok platforms. Her social media presence celebrated traditional rodeo culture and competitive barrel racing, activities prominently featured in her biography and content.
 
David González Morton, Mireles' uncle, confirmed her death on Facebook on March 11 with a heartfelt tribute: "Niece Ana Valeria Mireles Villarreal, you will always live in our hearts. We will miss you dearly." This personal acknowledgment underscored the family's deep sense of loss.
 
Close friend Cindy shared an emotional remembrance alongside photographs documenting their friendship: "I lack words to describe how much your departure hurts us; you leave a huge void. I'm grateful that God allowed me to grow up with you and share so many good times." She added, "Wherever you went, you lit up the room with your stage presence and your light."
 
The rodeo community has rallied to honor Mireles' memory, emphasizing her role in promoting Western heritage and inspiring young women in the sport. Her unexpected passing highlights the fragility of life, particularly poignant given her youth and promising future.
