When Stephen Curry, the star point guard for the Golden State Warriors, is not playing at his best, his team always wins.
In a brief letter to her husband on Valentine's Day 2023, Ayesha Curry wrote, "My forever valentine...I love you," in recognition of their long-standing relationship. They had just been posting about their date night, their 10th Christmas With the Currys event, and their visit to the White House.
Let's just say that these two continue to find amazing ways to spend time together despite having demanding careers.
"My Ish!" "Loving this journey with you more and more," Steph wrote as the caption for a few pictures taken during their 11th wedding anniversary trip to Europe in 2022. "So many blessings already, and who knows what's next? That's the best part! Through it all, we keep growing and loving each other. The next chapter begins…"
"I grew up in a household of five, and that felt like somebody always got left out," Ayesha said to E! News two months before the birth of their youngest child. "I think four is going to be perfect."
The choice to add more members "came from always finding myself looking around and feeling like somebody was missing," she said in a 2024 essay for Sweet July Magazine. "I would load up the car and think, ‘Oh, I forgot something.' But nobody was forgotten."
Therefore, she added, "We set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family."
Taking into account all the Basketball Wives who are or were not basketball stars' spouses, as well as the drama that tends to permeate NBA players' personal lives like athletic tape, the heartwarming story of these longtime sweethearts is one to be savored.
When they were married, "I was 23; she was 22," Steph said in a 2016 interview with Parents magazine. "But I knew I had found the right woman and I wanted to start a life with her."
Despite being prohibited from dating while in high school, Ayesha and Stephen Curry met when they were 14 and 15. Stephen and Ayesha didn't say a word to him because they were both preoccupied with God. Stephen, the older brother of Seth Curry of the Charlotte Hornets and the son of former NBA player Dell Curry, was a two-time Southern Conference Men's Player of the Year and a basketball player for Davidson College in North Carolina. Stephen and Ayesha were able to make fun of each other's silence.
