In a surprising yet heartfelt reunion, former Vanderpump Rules*stars Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney have come together nearly three years after their public 2022 divorce. The occasion? The premiere of Schwartz's new podcast, Detox Retox, launching April 22 on PodcastOne.

Known for their rollercoaster romance on reality TV, Schwartz and Maloney once defined much of the emotional narrative of VPR. But as Schwartz now seeks to distance himself from the show's dramatic past — including the infamous cheating scandal involving Tom Sandoval — he's choosing peace over provocation.

"It was so nice catching up with Katie at her new place, just chilling with the dogs," Schwartz told Us Weekly. "We cracked open a bottle of Witches of WeHo Pinot Noir to reflect on some vintage Vanderpump Rules memories."

The pair's dynamic, once marred by conflict, now reflects mutual respect. Maloney, now dating musician Nick Martin, echoed the calm tone: "Talking about VPR days, a light roast in the mix and where we are today." Their six-year marriage may have ended, but their shared history remains a part of their foundation.

Following the Scandoval fallout, Bravo made the decisive call to reboot the series, retaining only Lisa Vanderpump. The core cast, including Schwartz, was dropped ahead of season 12. While many fans speculated about his next move, Schwartz opted against clinging to screen time.

Instead, he's pivoting to something he calls "a pursuit of harmony, happiness, and a little enlightenment." His podcast will blend self-improvement and lifestyle indulgence. "This new era is about growth, good vibes and maybe a little mischief," he told the outlet.

Unlike the chaos of reality television, Schwartz promises balance. "It's not self-destructive or mindless," he said. "It's cheat day energy. Treat yourself energy." Future episodes will feature fellow reality stars alongside scholars, scientists, and "everyday humans with extraordinary stories."

This project is personal. "We'll explore self-care emotionally, physically, and spiritually," he said, emphasizing the value of healing. His intention is to create a space where falling apart is accepted — as long as you keep moving forward.

As Detox Retox debuts, it marks more than just a media shift. It's a signal of personal reinvention. From tabloid turmoil to conscious creativity, Tom Schwartz isn't just starting a podcast — he's rewriting his narrative.
