Former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Teddi Mellencamp has shared encouraging news in her battle against stage 4 metastasized melanoma. The 43-year-old reality television alum announced on April 23 that recent scans revealed significant improvement in her condition.

"All tumors have shrunk or disappeared," Mellencamp stated in an emotional Instagram video post. The update comes just months after her February revelation that melanoma had spread to both her lungs and brain, escalating her diagnosis to stage 4 cancer.

Mellencamp's medical team appears optimistic about her prognosis. "Doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course," she shared in her post caption. Her physician reportedly told her, "You did this, you got this. You got that Mellencamp blood, so you're good."

The treatment plan requires Mellencamp to complete approximately six more weeks of immunotherapy. She has already undergone several sessions, which have proven effective against the aggressive cancer. "I have two more sessions of immunotherapy and then hopefully I am done and I will be cancer-free," she explained.

Prior to this promising update, Mellencamp had been candid about the devastating impact of her diagnosis. In an April 17 interview with ET, she described experiencing "debilitating pain" and expressed fear about her children's future, saying, "That is extremely frightening. My kids are young."

Medical professionals had previously given Mellencamp a 50% chance of survival, according to her own statements. "I really like to have control, and this is completely out of my control," she admitted during the challenging period.

The mother of three shares children Slate (12), Cruz (10), and Dove (5) with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave. Throughout her cancer journey, Mellencamp has maintained transparency with her followers, even sharing photos following brain surgery.

This positive development represents a significant milestone in Mellencamp's battle with cancer. Her case highlights the potential effectiveness of immunotherapy in treating advanced melanoma, which has dramatically improved survival rates for this aggressive form of cancer in recent years.

Mellencamp concluded her update with gratitude for her supporters: "Thank you to everyone who has sent their love, prayers, and positivity ❤️❤️❤️." Her journey serves as a testament to resilience in the face of life-threatening illness and the importance of advanced cancer treatments.

As Mellencamp continues her remaining treatment sessions, her story offers hope to others facing similar diagnoses and underscores the critical importance of early detection and aggressive treatment protocols for melanoma.
