Justin Bieber recently sparked a wave of concern online after posting a series of messages on his Instagram Story questioning traditional religious practices and opening up about his personal struggles. Among the most talked-about statements was his declaration: "Ur bible can't save u."
The pop star elaborated on his views, stating that guilt cannot be relieved by simply reading the Bible or attending church. Instead, he emphasized the importance of accepting God's grace. "The feeling of guilt can be relieved," he wrote. "How? Not by going to church or reading your bible. But just receive that God forgives. The MESSAGE is FORGIVENESS. JESUS FORGIVES WHO THE CULTURE NEVER FORGIVES."
Bieber's candid messages reflected on his own imperfections and how he grapples with the judgment he receives online. "They treat me like ass out here, but if I remember that I am flawed too and God forgave me, it helps me to stop feeling better than those people who are mean and hurtful," he said. Acknowledging his own faults, he added, "Because when I'm really honest I can be mean and hurtful too."
He continued, drawing attention to societal behavior and personal flaws: "My instinct is to be like damn I wouldn't gossip and spread lies about someone on the internet but there's other shit I do I'm not proud of that God is gracious with. Hurt people hurt people."
Bieber also addressed his relationship with his wife, Hailey, writing: "And honestly if I was you it would be hard not to be jealous if I saw me and Hailey going so brazzzzyy. It's really up for us and that's understandable why people can't stand it. I don't blame em."
The posts come in the wake of increased public scrutiny. Concerns escalated after Bieber appeared at Coachella, where fans shared videos of him smoking and dancing to Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us." The scrutiny intensified following an argument with paparazzi in Palm Springs, where he was heard saying, "You don't care about people, only money, no people, you don't care about human beings," in a video obtained by TMZ.
Despite the speculation about his well-being and past controversies, Bieber appears focused on his faith. "God chooses to work through me every day regardless," he wrote, concluding with the stark reminder: "Ur bible can't save u."
