In a move that stirred headlines, Travis Kelce has unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram, signaling a quiet but significant shift within a once tightly-knit celebrity circle. The Kansas City Chiefs star's decision comes amid the escalating legal battle involving Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, and director Justin Baldoni, casting new light on fractures within their broader friendship group.

According to Page Six, Kelce's move appears linked to the fallout from Lively's entanglement in Baldoni's $400 million defamation lawsuit, which has increasingly drawn Taylor Swift — Kelce's girlfriend — into unwanted controversy. While social media unfollowing often hints at deeper tensions, it remains unclear whether Kelce intends a full severance or merely seeks distance from the spiraling drama.

Swift's own position adds further weight to the unfolding situation. In February, Page Six reported that Swift "needed space" from Lively after feeling used in the ongoing legal saga. Sources at the time noted Swift's displeasure at being named in documents tied to the lawsuit, with one insider stating, "[She] felt like a pawn." Despite Lively's private apology to Swift, the pop star has reportedly continued to seek distance, prioritizing her personal peace.

Complicating matters further, Baldoni's legal team has hinted at the possibility of subpoenaing both Swift and Reynolds' longtime friend Hugh Jackman. Bryan Freedman, Baldoni's lead attorney, remarked in March, "I don't know that we're going to depose Taylor Swift. I think that's going to be probably a game time decision." The threat of legal entanglement has amplified Swift's desire to retreat from the controversy, focusing instead on her relationship with Kelce and upcoming projects.

Meanwhile, Kelce's disengagement from Reynolds follows a pattern of reevaluation among Swift's inner circle. A Daily Mail source revealed earlier this year that Swift was "taking stock" of her friendships, aiming to distance herself from figures who "name-drop her for personal gain." Kelce's quiet Instagram action — with Reynolds still following him as of April 28 — subtly reinforces this strategy of cautious withdrawal.

Previously, the couples were inseparable, often spotted together at Chiefs games and private gatherings. Their split, at least online, marks a sharp contrast to their earlier camaraderie. Attempts by Page Six to reach representatives for Kelce, Reynolds, and Lively went unanswered.
