Aimee Lou Wood has finally broken her silence regarding her relationship with "The White Lotus" co-star Walton Goggins. The 31-year-old British actress addressed swirling rumors of a feud between the pair during her red carpet appearance at Monday's Met Gala 2025.

Wood directly confronted speculation about making a surprise appearance on Goggins' upcoming "Saturday Night Live" episode this weekend. "I couldn't say... but also I'm not, I'm not doing that," she told Entertainment Tonight. She quickly added, "I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever."

The actress expressed frustration over how their relationship had become sensationalized by media outlets. "It all got very out of control," Wood explained. She referenced a viral "SNL" parody titled "The White Potus" that had mocked her appearance last month, clarifying that contrary to reports, she wasn't emotionally devastated by it.

"My whole thinking was, I saw that people were angry about it, and I could either say something... or feel terrible about myself," Wood elaborated. What followed was disproportionate media coverage, with headlines claiming she was "crying in the street over SNL skit" when her tears were "about something completely unrelated."

Despite rumors of tension, Wood enthusiastically supported Goggins' upcoming SNL hosting gig. "He's going to be incredible doing SNL. It's the perfect thing for him to do, he's going to be hilarious. I'm so excited to see it," she stated emphatically to reporters.

The speculation about their alleged feud intensified when fans noticed the co-stars weren't following each other on Instagram after "The White Lotus" Season 3 finale aired last month. However, Entertainment Weekly reported that both actors resumed following each other shortly before Monday's gala.

Wood revealed to Access Hollywood that despite seeing Goggins two days prior, they "haven't had that much time to debrief about everything." She added, "Every time we see each other, there's never time... it'll be good to see him again tonight."

According to Variety, Wood arrived at the prestigious event with fellow "White Lotus" co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger, noticeably avoiding Goggins on the red carpet. When asked about Wood in a May 2nd interview with the London Times, Goggins firmly refused to discuss the matter, stating, "I'm not gonna have that conversation."

Industry insiders note that the celebrities' reluctance to do joint press or tag each other in social media posts fueled persistent rumors. "This type of speculation often overshadows the actual work," commented entertainment analyst Martin Rivera to Deadline last week.

As "The White Lotus" continues to dominate cultural conversations, the relationship between its stars remains under intense scrutiny. Wood's candid Met Gala comments suggest a desire to move beyond manufactured drama and refocus attention on their creative collaboration.
