Bebe Rexha is no stranger to bold fashion or online scrutiny, but her latest red carpet appearance carried more than sequins and designer labels. Following criticism of her 2025 Met Gala look, the singer responded with a deeply personal revelation: she recently suffered a pregnancy loss.

In a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Rexha shared the pain she's been carrying in silence. "I got pregnant, and it didn't work out," she wrote. "I've been carrying that pain in silence." The message came in response to harsh commentary about her body, with some online critics questioning her weight gain.

Rexha, who has long been open about her struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), explained that the condition has affected both her fertility and her physical health. "I have PCOS and struggle with infertility," she said, adding that her experience might prompt others to think twice before commenting on someone's appearance.

The singer's candor resonated with many, especially those familiar with the challenges of PCOS — a hormonal disorder that affects millions of women and can cause ovarian cysts, weight fluctuations, and intense physical pain. Rexha recounted a particularly difficult episode in 2024, when a ruptured cyst landed her in urgent care. "My doctor thought it was appendicitis," she recalled. "But it was actually a cyst that had burst."

Despite her personal struggles, Rexha appeared on the Met Gala red carpet on May 5 wearing a dramatic Christian Siriano gown, holding her head high in the face of speculation. She even responded directly to criticism from rapper Azealia Banks on social media, before signing off with a message of love for her fans: "Have a good day everyone. Love you."

Rexha's openness sheds light on the unseen battles many women face behind their public images. While fame brings visibility, it also invites judgment — often without context or compassion. "Humans go through fluctuations," she reminded followers in a previous post, urging them to lead with kindness.

As she navigates fame, grief, and healing, Rexha's honesty offers something deeper than a comeback: it's a reminder that strength sometimes means simply telling the truth. And in doing so, she's reclaimed her narrative — one heartfelt post at a time.
