Firerose, born Johanna Rose Hodge is an Australian singer and songwriter who was married to Country artist, Billy Ray Cyrus for seven months before he filed for divorce in 2024. The two got married in October 2023 and Cyrus called their wedding day “the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.” The two met 10 years ago on the set of the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana.” They remained friends till they started dating in 2022.

According to TMZ, Cyrus told the court that he kicked Firerose out of their matrimonial home on May 24, 2024. He is providing financial compensation for her temporary housing until the divorce is finalized. The two have unfollowed each other on Instagram as of now. The court documents revealed irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for divorce as well as fraud as ground for annulment.

“10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day our two souls united as one in holy matrimony,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post at the time. They released four songs together “time” “new day” “After the storm” and “plans” During Firerose's birthday in February, Cyrus referred to her as his beautiful love of his life. During their 6 month wedding anniversary, Firerose shared their throwback photos and captioned, “6 months ago, l married this man( white heart emoji). Life isn't always easy… but it sure helps when your husband is also your best friend. Thank you Lord!”

The 62 year old country star was formerly married to Tish Cyrus for 28 years and they shared 5 children: Miley, Noah, Brandi, Trace and Braison. He also shared a son with Kristen Luckey who he dated before meeting Tish.
