The Queen and the Prince of Wales joined thousands of attendees for the second day of the prestigious Royal Ascot, one of the highlights of the summer social calendar. Held over five days at the Berkshire racecourse, the event is expected to draw more than
250,000 spectators from around the world.

Prince William, dressed in a top hat and morning dress, arrived at the races in a horse-drawn carriage. Accompanying him in the same carriage were Queen Camilla and the Earl and Countess of Halifax. Their arrival was a grand spectacle, drawing the admiration of the assembled crowd.

The King, who attended the opening day of Ascot on Tuesday, was notably absent on Wednesday as he is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Michael and Carole Middleton, the parents of the Princess of Wales, joined members of the Royal Family at the event. This marks their first public appearance since their daughter began her cancer treatment.

On Saturday, the Princess of Wales made her first public appearance since her diagnosis, attending the Trooping the Colour ceremony to mark the King's official birthday. Ahead of the parade, she released a statement expressing her gratitude for the support she had received and shared that she was "making good progress" but was "not out of the woods yet".

"As anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days", the princess said. "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-
needed time to heal". She added that she hoped to join a few public engagements over the summer.

Prince William's auncle, Prince Andrew, was also represented at the event. His daughter, Princess Eugenie, attended with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, recently honored as a Knight Companion of the Order of the Garter, also made an appearance, sharing a carriage with Princess Eugenie.

Other notable attendees included the Princess Royal's daughter, Zara Tindall, an accomplished equestrian, and the Duke of Edinburgh. The event saw Prince William later handing out prizes to the winners of the annual Prince of Wales's Stakes race, adding a touch of royal prestige to the proceedings.

Royal Ascot continues to be a gathering point for the elite and the royal family, with each day promising more excitement and elegance.
