Cyndi Lauper, the legendary singer behind timeless hits like "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Time After Time," is hanging up her touring boots. Lauper has announced her "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Farewell Tour, marking her first major tour in over a decade and her final one ever.

The Brooklyn-born singer will embark on a 23-city journey across North America, kicking off on October 18th in Montreal and culminating in Chicago on December 5th. Fans can expect Lauper to belt out her greatest hits, including "True Colors" and "All Through the Night," at iconic venues like Montreal's Bell Centre and her hometown's Madison Square Garden.

The tour promises some exciting surprises, with special guests to be revealed soon by Live Nation, the event promoter. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, with pre-sale opportunities available before the general public sale on Friday.

This bittersweet announcement coincides with the release of a new documentary, "Let the Canary Sing." Debuting on Paramount+ on Tuesday, the film explores Lauper's remarkable career – from her meteoric rise to stardom to her enduring influence as a punk icon and fierce advocate for social causes. Fans can also catch Lauper discuss the tour and documentary on Wednesday night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
