Rising music star PinkPantheress has announced the cancellation of her upcoming tour dates, citing a need to prioritize her physical health and overall wellbeing. The 23-year-old artist, who has been touring with Olivia Rodrigo in the US, shared the news through a series of Instagram posts.

"It appears I have reached a wall which I'm struggling to penetrate through," wrote PinkPantheress, known for her hits "Boy's A Liar" and "Just For Me." She expressed gratitude to her fans, touring team, and Olivia Rodrigo for the support and opportunities, adding, "I'm sad to disappoint anyone and can only hope we will be in each other's company once I return to health."

PinkPantheress was slated to co-headline the Field Day festival in London and perform at various festival dates in Florida, Arizona, the UK, and Thailand. Additionally, she was scheduled to support Coldplay on their Australia and New Zealand tour. All these appearances have now been cancelled.

PinkPantheress, whose real name is Victoria Beverley and hails from Bath, first gained prominence during the pandemic by posting song snippets on TikTok. Her unique blend of breathy vocals over retro garage samples quickly went viral, with tracks like "Break It Off" and "Just A Waste" gaining massive popularity. Her collaboration with Ice Spice on "Boy's A Liar Pt 2" became a significant transatlantic hit, and she won the BBC's Sound Of 2022 poll.

In June 2022, PinkPantheress had to cancel a performance at Spain's Primavera Festival due to partial hearing loss, later revealing that she had lost 80% of the hearing in her right ear. Despite this setback, she continued to record and perform, contributing the song "Angel" to the Barbie soundtrack and releasing her debut album, Heaven Knows, in November.

Earlier this year, she embarked on her "Capable of Love Tour," creating several viral moments, including bringing out an all-male group of Irish dancers during her performance in Dublin and gifting her Coach handbag to a fan in Ohio who had made her a custom Funko Pop.

In related news, the rock band Garbage has also cancelled their future shows due to an injury sustained by singer Shirley Manson during their European tour. Manson, who requires surgery and rehabilitation, expressed her disappointment on Instagram, writing, "No-one is more crushed about this than I am. You know I would push through if I could." Liz Phair and Devo are set to replace Garbage at the HFStival in Washington, DC, and the Ohana Fest in California, respectively.
