A Thai teacher has faced a lifetime ban from the classroom after filming porn during her lessons. The incident, which occurred at Ban Bua Chum primary school in Thailand's Lopburi province, north of Bangkok, has drawn widespread attention and sparked outrage about professional conduct in educational settings.
The trainee teacher, whose identity remains undisclosed, pointed a camera at herself while conducting a lesson. In a video that went viral on Thai social media, she provocatively pulled up her skirt while reading a book to her class. She was live streaming this via the Bigo platform, enticing viewers to give her tokens in exchange for lewd acts, which she could then convert into money.
Local media reports indicate that this wasn't an isolated incident. The investigation into the trainee teacher's actions led to her dismissal on June 28, as confirmed by the school's director. The Teachers’ Council of Thailand swiftly struck her from the register, citing a violation of the statute that prohibits educational figures from "being a person with dishonorable behavior or lacking good morals."
While it remains unclear whether Thai police are actively investigating the incident, the country's law enforcement has a history of cracking down on teachers who engage in indecent acts. Earlier this year, a British teacher faced arrest for alleged sexual assault of a teenage student a decade ago in Thailand. The suspect, identified as 'Tyler,' reportedly committed indecent acts with a female foreign student, leading to his immediate termination from the school. “The Immigration Department has arrested Mr Tyler, a 38-year-old British national, for taking a minor with him to commit an indecent act,” reports said.
This recent case serves as a stark reminder of the need for ethical boundaries within educational institutions. Teachers hold a position of trust and influence over their students, and incidents like these undermine that trust.
