As Donald Trump prepares for his second term as president, Melania Trump has shared her plans for life as First Lady, detailing her priorities and living arrangements. In interviews with Fox News and other outlets, Melania revealed her intention to split her time between Washington, D.C., New York City, and the family's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

"I will be in the White House. And when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach," Melania said. "But my first priority is to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife, and once we are in on Jan. 20, you serve the country."

Their son, Barron Trump, an 18-year-old freshman at New York University's Stern School of Business, will remain in New York but will have a room at the White House for his visits. Melania emphasized her support for her son's independence, stating, "I feel that children, we have them till they are like 18, 19 years old. We teach them, we guide them, and then we give them the wings to fly." She added, "I always respect Barron's yes and no and what he likes to do, where he would like to be."

Reflecting on the upcoming move, Melania noted that the transition would be smoother compared to 2017. "The difference is I know where I will be going. I know the rooms, where we will be living, I know the process," she explained. "The first time was challenging. We didn't have much of the information." She claimed the previous administration did not provide sufficient details but added, "This time I have everything. I already packed, I already selected the furniture that needs to go in. So it's a very different transition this time, second time around."

Melania also shared plans to revive her "Be Best" initiative, focusing on childhood well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse. She continues to build her team to expand the program's reach.

Additionally, Melania hinted at a documentary about her life, inspired by the positive reception to her memoir. "I had an idea to make a film about my life," she said. "My life is incredible. It's incredibly busy." The documentary, set to stream on Amazon Prime, will provide further insights into her role and experiences as First Lady.
