Donald Trump is once again taking aim at TV personalities, this time turning his attention to "CBS Mornings" co-host Gayle King. In a post on Truth Social, the president declared, "Gayle King's career is over. She should have stayed with her belief in TRUMP. She never had the courage to do so. No talent, no ratings, no strength!!!"

Trump's comments came after the New York Post published an article claiming King's future at CBS was "murky," citing internal concerns over falling ratings and the show's "woke" direction.

CBS hasn't made any public statement about King's position, and she hasn't responded to Trump's remarks. However, the post has stirred fresh attention at a time when the network is already facing major changes.

Trump has been on a streak of attacking television figures. Just weeks ago, he celebrated the cancellation of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." Though CBS said the move was due to financial reasons, Trump claimed otherwise, calling Colbert talentless and hinting that he was partly responsible. He's also said Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel are next, saying he's heard a "strong word" that their shows might not survive either. "It's really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!" he posted.

As for King, CBS insiders quoted in The Post suggest her show's tone might be pushing viewers away. One source pointed to a recent interview with Bob the Drag Queen as an example of the kind of "progressive and provocative bookings" that the morning audience "doesn't want."

Though Trump claimed King once had "belief" in him, the two have publicly clashed for years. In past interviews, King criticized Trump's comments about being "the least racist person in the room" and said, "I wondered, who else was in the room?" Last year, she told CNN she was insulted by Trump's claim that Black Americans had "embraced" his mugshot, calling it "insulting" and saying, "he is implying that Black people have criminal problems."

For now, Gayle King remains in her anchor chair, but her future at the network is far from certain.
