Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, has continued to speak publicly about how her young children are processing the loss of their father, months after the Turning Point USA founder was fatally shot on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University. In several interviews, she has shared the tender and sometimes heartbreaking conversations she has had with their 3-year-old daughter as the family tries to navigate life without him.

During an appearance on Hannity, Erika said that talking about heaven has become part of their nightly routine. "My daughter and I, we've talked about this at night," she shared. "She would ask, 'What do you think Daddy did today in heaven?' And I'll have her relay that back to me." She explained that she has tried to help her daughter understand the situation by telling her, "Daddy's still with us, he's just in a different location, and he's building us a home in heaven." According to Erika, her daughter responded by saying, "I can't wait to go," to which she replied, "Me too, baby."

In another interview previewed ahead of her appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime, Erika described similar conversations. She said her daughter asks where her father is and whether she can go to heaven to visit him. "She goes, 'you think I could go sometime?' I said, 'baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day.'" Erika said she reminds her daughter, "if ever you want to talk to daddy, you just look up to the sky and start talking to him. He can hear you."

Erika and Charlie shared two young children, including a son who recently turned one. She noted that she initially told her daughter that her father was on a "business trip with Jesus" to help her understand his absence. She has spoken about moments that have brought both comfort and pain, including watching what she described as the "longest video" of Charlie since the assassination, and seeing her daughter joyfully shout his name after spotting his photo outside the Turning Point USA headquarters.

The suspect in Charlie's killing, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, has been charged with aggravated murder and other felonies. In the weeks following the tragedy, Erika was unanimously elected CEO and chair of the Turning Point board.
