LeBron James (40) said Tuesday he is relishing the prospect of joining forces with Luka Doncic (25) at the Los Angeles Lakers following the shock deal which has stunned the basketball world. Doncic was formally unveiled by the Lakers on Tuesday after a jaw-dropping trade from the Dallas Mavericks that saw Anthony Davis head in the opposite direction.

Jalen Brunson (28) scored 42 points as the New York Knicks unleashed a late barrage to overwhelm the Houston Rockets 124-118 in the NBA on Monday. The Knicks - humbled at home by the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday - had looked to be sliding to another defeat at Madison Square Garden as Houston powered into an 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter.

Darius Garland (25) drilled a three-pointer from the half-court logo as time expired to lift the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 118-115 NBA victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. Up by 12 with 9:03 remaining, Eastern Conference leaders Cleveland weathered a Pistons comeback keyed by Cade Cunningham, who scored 21 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter.

LeBron James delivered a master class at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, scoring 33 points in a triple-double as his Los Angeles Lakers ended the New York Knicks' five-game NBA winning streak 128-112. James added 11 rebounds and 12 assists, Austin Reaves added 27 points and the Lakers kept Knicks All-Stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson in check, despite the absence of Anthony Davis with a strained abdominal muscle. 'We paid attention to details," James said. "Without AD it's got to be a collective group, not one of us can do it by ourselves. So it was good for us to come in with a team aspect to get stops together, clean glass and then share the ball offensively."

Australian guard Patty Mills, in his 16th NBA season, and forward Drew Eubanks joined the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday in a trade with the Utah Jazz, both clubs announced. The Clippers sent forward P.J. Tucker, center Mo Bamba, a future second-round NBA Draft choice and cash to the Jazz in the deal.
