Arsenal have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Greece international Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a deal worth £34 million.
The 24-year-old forward has signed a long term contract with the Premier League champions after an impressive spell in Belgium, where he scored 43 goals and registered 45 assists in 108 appearances for Club Brugge.
Tzolis arrives at the Emirates Stadium following the departure of Belgian forward Leandro Trossard, who completed a move to Besiktas earlier this month.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta praised the club's latest addition, highlighting both his versatility and technical ability.
"Christos is an extremely versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line," Berta said.
"He's an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces and possesses incredible technical ability."
Berta also pointed to the Greek international's impressive record over the past three seasons, saying his consistent contributions in front of goal and creative play would strengthen Arsenal's squad while adding enthusiasm and a winning mentality.
Tzolis began his professional career with Greek side PAOK before joining Norwich City in 2021. Although he found opportunities limited in England, making 30 appearances and scoring three goals, loan spells at Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf helped him regain confidence before earning a permanent move to Club Brugge.
Speaking after completing his transfer, Tzolis revealed he had an encouraging conversation with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta before agreeing to join the club.
"We talked about everything, about the club, about myself, about his plans, about me of course, about the team. It was only positive things," he said.
The winger described himself as a direct attacker whose main objective is to score goals or create them for teammates. He also stressed his willingness to contribute defensively and work hard for the team.
Tzolis joins Arsenal after enjoying the finest campaign of his career. Last season he played a key role in Club Brugge's league title success, finishing with 17 league goals and 23 assists while leading the Belgian top flight with 40 direct goal involvements.
He also topped the division for chances created, progressive carries and successful dribbles. His performances extended into the Champions League, where he scored against Atalanta and Atletico Madrid and provided an assist against Barcelona, underlining his ability to perform against Europe's strongest clubs.
