Ashley Benson, best known for her role in *Pretty Little Liars*, is addressing and dismissing rumors about her postpartum physique. Following the birth of her daughter, Aspen, whom she shares with husband Brandon Davis, Benson faced speculation on social media regarding her rapid return to her pre-pregnancy body.
On June 17, Benson took to her Instagram Story to respond to comments suggesting she used Ozempic, a medication often associated with weight loss. Sharing a screenshot of one such comment, Benson wrote, "Comments like this are so funny to me. I know a lot of people take Ozempic, and that's totally fine. To each their own. But don't discredit people who also worked very hard to get their body back like I've done with mine".
The 34-year-old actress, who gave birth to Aspen earlier this year, had posted a mirror selfie showing off her midriff in a cropped black tank top. It was under this post that the Ozempic speculation arose. "Getting back to work forced me to focus on my health", Benson continued in her Instagram Story. "And working out and I wanted to feel confident and good about myself".
She credited her fitness progress to wellness guru Melissa Wood-Tepperberg, adding, "Couldn't do this without my @melissawoodtepperberg app". Benson's message came just after she celebrated Father's Day with her husband, Brandon. In a heartfelt Instagram post on June 16, she wrote, "Happy first Father's Day my love. From the moment I was pregnant you never left my side. Came to every single appointment because you knew how scared I was. You showed up for me every time and I knew you were going to do the same for our daughter and be the best daddy to her. We are so lucky to have you and we love you so much. She has the best daddy in the world".
Ashley also shared her joy about celebrating Mother's Day last month, posting numerous pictures of her life as a new mom and expressing, "Being your mom is the best gift of all".
Benson’s open and honest response to body-shaming comments highlights her dedication to health and fitness and her commitment to promoting a positive and realistic body image.
