For good, Camille is bidding Emily go. According to several reports on April 17, Camille Razat's character, who has been the main antagonist in Emily in Paris for the past four seasons, would not be making a comeback for the most recent episode.
Emily (Lily Collins), a marketing executive, is going to live the high life with her new partner Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) after she is named head of Agence Grateau's new Rome branch at the end of season four. However, her promotion has not been well received by everyone.
Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) makes the spontaneous choice to pack his luggage and leave for Italy. After all, Emily's friend-turned-enemy Camille called off her engagement to the chef because he had feelings for the foreigner. Gabriel and Camille's intermittent romance came to an end in season four after the former learned that a pregnancy test she had in the first episode was a false positive.
Along with friends Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Mindy (Ashley Park), Julian (Samuel Arnold), Luc (Bruno Gouery), and Antoine Lambert (William Abadie), it now looks like Emily's other love interest, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), will be returning.
Do Gabriel and Emily stand to gain more from their separation from Camille?
Creator Darren Star told Tudum in September, "I think there's something about the relationship between Gabriel and Emily that was a little surface-y." "They were not really familiar with one another. For both of them, it was a bit of a fantasy. This year, in my opinion, things become a little more genuine in terms of their identities and removing their romanticized perceptions of one another.
Lucas interprets his character's development as an indication that Gabriel and Emily might be suitable for one another, given his determination in vying for a Michelin star—something he never receives—and ending his year-long romance with Camille.
He told the newspaper, "I think it's the most mature he's ever been at the end of the season." "I believe that he is highly focused and that he is prepared to go to war to achieve his goals."
And that might be a certain girl with brown eyes.
What can fans anticipate from Emily's significant relocation to Italy?
"Emily will be present in Rome." Although it doesn't imply that she won't visit Paris, she will have a presence in Rome,” Darren told Tudum in September. “I want to stay ahead of the audience and take them to unexpected places. It doesn’t mean that Emily’s leaving Paris forever, but the show has the ability to have a bigger footprint.”
