After just 7 months of marriage, Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from his wife Firerose. In a recent viral audio circulating on social media, Billy Ray Cyrus can be heard verbally assaulting and throwing shots at his daughter, the “Wrecking ball” singer, Miley Cyrus, calling her a devil and a skunk. The audio was first published by the Daily Mail on Wednesday, however, it is still unclear who in particular leaked it.

The 62 year old country star is heard referring to his ex-wife in a very derogatory way, he also questions her intelligence and way of thinking. “I don't think you're real smart, I've changed my mind on that sh*t, what l think you are is a selfish b***h. That's what you are,” he yelled. In the audio, Cyrus says, “Everyone knows that devil's a skunk,” referring to his daughter, Miley Cyrus.

“As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud,” Billy Ray Cyrus wrote, according to People. “I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges ex-wife. That’s before I knew her parents last name.” He went ahead to talk about Firerose's criminal record. “Everything I thought I knew about her, was a lie.” The country music singer accused Firerose of “trying of take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain.” He ended his statement: “See you in court.”

According to a statement releases by Billy's divorce lawyer, it is alleged that Firerose recorded and leaked the audio without telling her then husband. “Of course she was on her best behavior when she knew the recording was being made. Unfortunately Ms.Hodges is attempting to litigate her case in the press for her own personal gain and in an attempt to harm our client's longstanding career, as she promised she would do if her tried to divorce her.”

Cyrus filed for an annulment in May, accusing Firerose of fraud. A month later, he requested a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife — whom he first met years ago near the set of the Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” — alleging she had racked up more than $96,000 in purchases on his personal and business credit cards. Firerose fired back and accused him of abuse.
