Stevie Nicks recently shared details about a health issue she experienced. During her rescheduled performance on July 24 in Glasgow, U.K., the 76-year-old singer explained what led to the sudden postponement of her shows originally set for Saturday, July 6, in Glasgow and Tuesday, July 9, in Manchester, England.
"I'm not sure what exactly happened. I got this strange infection, and it just spiraled out of control," Nicks told the audience, according to Deadline.
The "Silver Springs" singer said she was staying in a "beautiful castle" in Glasgow before her concert.
"We arrived a few days early because we like to have some time here," Nicks recounted. "Eventually, around two in the morning, I told my assistant, 'I think we need to go to the emergency room.' She looked at me, and I said, 'I'm serious! We need to get to the hospital.'"
She continued, "So our butler, a wonderful man, drove us in his BMW Sedan, and we sped through the night to the hospital."
Nicks revealed she spent two days in the hospital before returning to the castle and postponing her tour date.
"I've been dealing with this issue throughout the tour," she said, adding: "This tour has been a battle against what started here. There was no way I wasn't coming back."
On Saturday, July 6, OVO Hydro, where Nicks was set to perform, announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the concert was rescheduled due to a leg injury requiring minor surgery and a few days of recovery.
Nicks performed the rescheduled show in Manchester on Tuesday, July 16.
The "Landslide" artist is scheduled to perform in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Tuesday, September 24, and in Hershey, Pa., on Saturday, September 28.
