Lottie Moss as a cautionary tale for anyone thinking about using Ozempic. In the Dream On podcast episode from September 12, Kate Moss's younger sister opened up about her difficulties with the type 2 diabetes medication that many have used to lose weight, calling it "the worst decision I ever made."
“I felt so sick one day, I said to my friend, ‘I can’t keep any water down. Nothing stays down, not even liquids or food. I must visit the hospital. I feel incredibly ill. In the episode "My Ozempic Hell: I Had Seizures, A&E, Weight Loss," Lottie recalled that she was taken to the emergency room, where a nurse discovered the medication she had been taking and informed her , “’Oh my god, that’s so not what you’re meant to be taking.’”
The 26-year-old admitted that while she received the medication through a doctor, it wasn’t exactly her doctor.
"I'm in the 50s [110 pounds] range, and the amount I was taking was for people who were 100 kilos [220 pounds] and over," the woman clarified. "There are these little details that I wish I had known before taking it."
Lottie's overdose caused her to have some intense experiences while she was in the hospital.
"I was so dehydrated that I literally had a seizure, and it was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me in my life," she said. "I had to have my friend hold my feet down." The entire scenario was really frightening. My entire body was tense, and my face was clenching up.
Then, making reference to the fads that were popular during her time, Lottie attacked the Olympic trend, claiming that it undermines body-positive ideals.
"We shouldn't be going back to the '90s with this heroin-chic trend that is currently making a comeback," Lottie stated. "Where is body positivity these days?"
