On September 29, Jarah Mariano, the actor's wife, revealed her pregnancy. "Baby on board!" is how the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model captioned an Instagram photo she posted of herself showing off her baby bump while sitting on a surfboard in the ocean in her home state of Hawaii.
The 39-year-old, whose surname is the same as Milo's character from the early aughts television series Gilmore Girls, also shared a second photo of herself sitting on a surfboard in which she was seen making the "hang loose" or shaka sign with a hidden hand.
Less than a week after she and the 47-year-old Heroes alum celebrated their first wedding anniversary, Jarah revealed her pregnancy.
"My best friend and I got married last year," she posted on Instagram on September 23. The images, which were the couple's first to be made public, showed her and her husband at their Hawaiian wedding. "There aren’t enough words that exist to describe all the special qualities that make him who he is."
"All I can say is that I am grateful for the life that we have together and the happiness that we have created," the Victoria's Secret model went on.
Then she wrote "I like you" in Hawaiian, followed by "my husband Milo" in English.
After getting married, Milo—who doesn't use social media—and Jarah kept their marriage a secret. A few weeks after the announcement was made public, in October 2023, the actor gave fans some information about the wedding.
Regarding the wedding this past February, he said on E! News, "It was quiet." It was a pleasant, peaceful time. It was exquisite. It was very beautiful. There was some family and close friends present. It was fantastic."
Milo talked about his shared history with his wife in a previous interview.
The Land of Bad star stated on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January, "She's from Hawaii but had grown up not too far from me in Orange County, and we lived in the same neighborhood."
Not to be outdone, Milo married a woman whose last name matched his Gilmore Girls persona.
"Jess Mariano," he uttered. "I think once people started to know her name in connection to my name and my name in connection to her name, then I'm like, 'Oh, that's right, that used to be my name.'"
