Ariana Grande has recently found herself at the center of intense media scrutiny regarding her relationship with her "Wicked" co-star, Ethan Slater. The pop star has decided to break her silence and address the swirling rumors head-on.

In an interview, Ariana Grande opened up about the challenges she has faced due to the relentless speculation about her personal life. "It definitely doesn't get any easier, seeing some of the negativity that was birthed by disreputable tabloids," Grande shared. She emphasized that the rumors have been particularly hurtful, given the significant life changes she and her co-star experienced during the filming of "Wicked."

Grande and Slater's romance reportedly began in 2023, following her split from then-husband Dalton Gomez and Slater's separation from his wife, Lilly Jay. Despite both being separated before they got together, the timeline of their relationship has raised eyebrows and fueled speculation. Addressing these concerns, Grande stated, "The most disappointing part was to see so many people believe the worst version of it. That was definitely a tough ride".

The singer also took the opportunity to defend Slater's character, which she feels has been unfairly maligned by the media. "There couldn't be a less accurate depiction of a human being than the one that the tabloids spread about him," Grande said passionately. She described Slater as someone who "tries harder or spreads themselves thinner to be there for the people that he loves and cares about" and insisted that "there is no one on this earth with a better heart".

She accused tabloids of trying to "destroy" her since she was a teenager, a sentiment that reflects the ongoing struggle many celebrities face with invasive media coverage. "Honestly, it's taken me a lot of hard work to be able to last this long and to heal certain parts of my relationship to fame and to what I do because of these tabloids," she revealed. Despite the challenges, Grande remains resilient and proud of her journey, stating, "I'm 31 years old and I'm not a perfect person, but I am definitely deeply good, and I'm proud of who I'm becoming."
