Dua Lipa gave her Los Angeles fans a night to remember when she brought out Gwen Stefani during her Radical Optimism Tour stop at the Kia Forum on Wednesday, October 8. The crowd erupted with excitement as the two pop icons performed No Doubt's timeless hit "Don't Speak" together.

Before introducing Stefani, Lipa expressed her admiration for the singer, calling her "my favorite artist, someone I've grown up listening to my whole life." She praised Stefani for influencing her music and style, adding that she loves how Stefani continues to reinvent herself. "This incredible woman is here tonight," Lipa said. "Los Angeles, you lucky ones — you get to have the one and only Gwen Stefani."

As Stefani walked onto the stage to roaring applause, the pair launched into a moving performance of "Don't Speak." Backed by Lipa's live band, their rendition stayed true to the emotion and sound of No Doubt's 1995 original, blending nostalgia with the thrill of a modern pop concert.

The next day, No Doubt fueled fan excitement by posting on Instagram, tagging Stefani and her bandmates Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal, and Adrian Young, and inviting followers to join their mailing list. The band last released an album, Push and Shove, in 2012, and recently reunited for a performance at Coachella in 2024, sparking speculation about future projects.

Lipa and Stefani's connection goes beyond the stage. In 2020, the two collaborated on a remix of Lipa's song "Physical," produced by Mark Ronson for her Club Future Nostalgia project. At the time, Lipa told Apple Music's Zane Lowe that she "couldn't believe" Stefani agreed to be part of the remix. "I was pacing around the room thinking, 'Oh my God, this is crazy,'" she recalled.

Lipa explained that the collaboration came about when her team reached out to clear a sample of Stefani's hit "Hollaback Girl" for another remix. Instead of simply approving the sample, Stefani decided to join in. "She loved Mark Ronson's remix of 'Physical' and said, 'I'd love to jump on this,'" Lipa said. "I thought, 'Hell yeah, let's go.' It was surreal."
