Meghan Trainor has called off her upcoming Get in Girl tour, saying the demands of work and family have become too much to balance.

The singer shared the news in an Instagram post, explaining that the decision came after "a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations." The tour had been scheduled to begin on June 12 in Michigan and include stops across North America.

"Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now," she said. "And I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time."

Trainor and her husband, Daryl Sabara, recently welcomed their daughter, Mikey Moon, via surrogacy. The couple also share two sons, Riley and Barry.

The 32-year-old acknowledged that the cancellation may disappoint fans, writing, "I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down." Still, she said stepping back was necessary, adding, "I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now."

She reassured fans that the break is not permanent, saying, "I promise I'll be back soon, and I can't wait for you to hear this new record. I'm so proud of it, and I'm endlessly grateful for your love and support always."

The cancelled tour would have seen Trainor perform in more than 30 venues, including major cities like Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia, Nashville and Houston. Swedish duo Icona Pop had also been set to join as a supporting act.

Her announcement comes just days before the release of her seventh studio album, Toy With Me, which is set to drop on April 24.

Trainor has been open about focusing on her wellbeing while managing her career and family life. In a recent interview, she said, "You have to take care of your mental health first," adding that she is in therapy and actively working on improving her overall health.

"I love asking for help," she said. "I can't do it all. I wish I could, and I can't."

The singer has also credited her husband for being a strong support system, describing their relationship as a source of stability during busy periods.
