Olivia Dean has reached a monumental milestone as her hit song "Man I Need" surpasses one billion streams on Spotify, earning her a place in the platform's prestigious Billions Club.
The British pop sensation continues to gain momentum, with this achievement marking a significant highlight in a year filled with accolades. Olivia Dean was honored as Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards and dominated the 2026 BRIT Awards, securing four wins including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. She also took home three awards at the 2026 MOBO Awards, further solidifying her status in the music industry.
Spotify's data reveals that Dean is the female artist who experienced the largest global streaming growth over the past year. Her performance of "Man I Need" at the Spotify Best New Artist party during Grammy Week was a standout moment, showcasing her captivating talent to an enthusiastic audience.
In Australia, "Man I Need" has enjoyed an impressive 20 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the ARIA Chart. This feat ranks as the second-longest run at the top in the history of Australia's national charts, which have been published since 1983. The only track to surpass it is Tones and I's "Dance Monkey," which held the position for 24 weeks.
Across the United Kingdom, Dean made history by becoming the first female solo artist to have four songs simultaneously in the Official Charts Top 10. This achievement occurred in October with "Man I Need" at number one, alongside three tracks from her album The Art of Loving: "So Easy (To Fall in Love)," "Nice To Each Other," and her collaboration with Sam Fender, "Rein Me In."
Her success extends to the United States, where Billboard named Dean Rookie of the Year in its 2025 Greatest Pop Stars series. Earlier this month, "Man I Need" topped Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart, highlighting it as the most-played song on adult R&B radio stations across the country.
Looking ahead, Olivia Dean is poised to add to her list of honors at the 71st Ivor Novello Awards, scheduled for May 21 in London. She is one of the frontrunners with two nominations in major categories: Best Album and The PRS for Music Most Performed Work.
