Details remain scarce, but leaked aerial footage obtained by TMZ shows a harrowing scene. The armored truck is seen trailing a car on a closed-off road. As they attempt a coordinated maneuver, the vehicles make contact and careen off the road in a violent crash. The back door of the truck flings open, and according to the New York Times, two crew members are ejected.

Thankfully, none of the film's main cast members, including Eddie Murphy, were present during the filming of the stunt.

"Our thoughts are with those injured and their families," a spokesperson for Amazon MGM Studios, which is producing the film, told People Magazine. "We are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering."

The extent of the injuries remains unclear, but reports indicate that one crew member is still hospitalized with a back injury.

Stunt coordinator and veteran driver Rick Shöwer, who was not involved in the accident but has worked on numerous high-profile action films, expressed his concern. "This is a real tragedy," Shöwer said. "Safety protocols are paramount on any set, especially during stunt sequences. A thorough investigation is crucial to understand how something like this could happen."

The incident has sparked renewed discussions about safety measures on film sets. While details are still emerging, this event serves as a stark reminder of the inherent risks involved in stunt work. Hopefully, a thorough investigation will identify the cause of the accident and lead to improved safety measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future .
