Stephen "Steph" Curry and Ayesha Curry have joyfully expanded their family to six! The couple announced the arrival of their fourth child, a boy named Caius Chai, in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, May 26. They revealed that Caius was born early on May 11.
"Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!! He's doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!" Steph, 36, captioned a black-and-white photo of someone holding the newborn's tiny hand. He concluded the caption with "Caius Chai 5/11/24."
Ayesha, 35, who appears to have had professional posts prescheduled on her Instagram account, shared a candid photo of herself with her daughter Ryan on a hike just days before Caius' arrival. "Hikes with my Chookas. My nature girl," she captioned a series of images from their mother-daughter outing on May 8.
The Sweet July founder had announced her pregnancy on the cover of her magazine in March. In the announcement essay, Ayesha wrote that she and Steph thought their family was complete until they both felt that "somebody was missing" from the Curry crew.
Caius joins his older siblings: Riley Elizabeth, 11, Ryan Carson, 8, and Canon W. Jack, 5. Ayesha expressed how enjoyable it has been to watch her children react to her pregnancy. "Getting to experience this through [Canon's] eyes and through Ryan and Riley's eyes has been so cool," she shared. "Their perspectives are so different, and it's been the most exciting thing."
Steph also mentioned in a recent interview with the Associated Press that they tried to plan Caius' birth around his schedule, especially considering his potential participation in the Paris Olympics.
