Australian guard Patty Mills, in his 16th NBA season, and forward Drew Eubanks joined the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday in a trade with the Utah Jazz, both clubs announced. The Clippers sent forward P.J. Tucker, center Mo Bamba, a future second-round NBA Draft choice and cash to the Jazz in the deal.

Jalen Brunson (28) scored 42 points as the New York Knicks unleashed a late barrage to overwhelm the Houston Rockets 124-118 in the NBA on Monday. The Knicks - humbled at home by the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday - had looked to be sliding to another defeat at Madison Square Garden as Houston powered into an 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter.

Darius Garland (25) celebrated his call-up to the NBA All-Star game with a 26-point display as the Cleveland Cavaliers buried the Atlanta Hawks 137-115 to extend their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference on Thursday. Garland was one of seven Cleveland players to finish in double figures as the Cavs' balanced offence overwhelmed Atlanta to claim their 39th victory of the season.

LeBron James delivered a master class at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, scoring 33 points in a triple-double as his Los Angeles Lakers ended the New York Knicks' five-game NBA winning streak 128-112. James added 11 rebounds and 12 assists, Austin Reaves added 27 points and the Lakers kept Knicks All-Stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson in check, despite the absence of Anthony Davis with a strained abdominal muscle. 'We paid attention to details," James said. "Without AD it's got to be a collective group, not one of us can do it by ourselves. So it was good for us to come in with a team aspect to get stops together, clean glass and then share the ball offensively."

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (21) and Boston guard Jaylen Brown (28) were among 14 players named on Thursday as reserves for next month's NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco. This makes Wemby the youngest player in Spurs history to make the All-Star team. Guards and frontcourt players were named from both the Eastern and Western conferences for the February 16th event, with the bench talent chosen by NBA coaches from their conference.
