The Gunners managed to snag a win at Old Trafford to keep their Premier League Title hopes alive. It is all but a memory when Old Trafford was filled with excitement during a title-challenging match with Arsenal.

The Red Devils had the opportunity to open the scoring when Rasmus Hojlund wasted a golden chance when Scott McTominay pickpocketed Thomas Partey. Despite the miss, the hosts seemed to feel more comfortable on the ball and able to settle into the match. Teenage wonder kid Alejandro Garnacho then had his shot deflected by Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Gunners were against the ropes but managed to steel their nerves in the 21st minute. They managed to carve out the defense with Ben White taking advantage of Casemiro’s slow pace to release Kai Havertz who cut the ball to Leandro Trossard who had the simplest of finishes.

After the opener, Arsenal gained control over the pace of the match having their full backs managing to get shots off. The plus side on Manchester United’s end was Amad Diallo who looked bright with his quick feet. Arsenal came close to bagging a second goal but Declan Rice was denied by Aaron Wan Bissaka with the ball landing unto Bukayo Saka.

Diogo Dalot managed to follow up on the loose ball and deny even Saka’s attempt. William Saliba managed to head the ball onto the roof of Onana’s net and soon after he made a vital tackle to halt Garnacho who was barreling into the box.

The Old Trafford roar was loud willing their team forward with Garnacho troubling Ben White but only managed to find the side netting. Onana did his job at the post by denying efforts from Gabriel Martinelli and Rice late on into the game. The Gunners managed to withhold their 1-0 lead securing their fifth consecutive win.
