The Premier League has announced it will have two transfer windows this summer, allowing Manchester City and Chelsea to sign players ahead of the Club World Cup. The window will initially open from 1 June to 10 June before closing for five days, then reopening from 16 June to 1 September. This decision aligns with FIFA's regulations, as the governing body has permitted clubs participating in the expanded 32-team Club World Cup to register new players between 1-10 June and again from 27 June-3 July for the knockout stage.

The NBA's all-time leading scorer James delivered 17 points, six rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes on court. Luka Doncic, back in action after resting a sore ankle, drilled eight three-pointers on the way to a team-high 34 points, but he ran out of steam in the second half and no one else stepped up.

Chelsea will need to pay Manchester United £5 million if they choose not to sign Jadon Sancho on a permanent deal this summer. The 24-year-old winger joined Chelsea on a season-long loan in August, with an obligation to buy for a fee between £20 million and £25 million, provided the club finishes at least 14th in the Premier League.
