According to a source close to her, Gisele Bündchen expressed deep disappointment over the jokes made about her previous marriage to Tom Brady during the Super Bowl champion's Netflix roast. The 43-year-old model reportedly felt that the portrayal of her family during the roast was disrespectful and irresponsible. The source emphasized that Bündchen's main concern is supporting her children, who were affected by the content aired during the show.
Tom Brady, 46, was the focus of Netflix's live special, "The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady," held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif. During the event, Brady endured a barrage of insults from friends and former teammates, including Kevin Hart, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Nikki Glaser, Drew Bledsoe, Randy Moss, and Kim Kardashian.
Kevin Hart was among the first to mock Brady, joking about Bündchen's new boyfriend, her jiu-jitsu coach Joaquim Valente. Glaser also took aim at Brady and his divorce, quipping about Bündchen giving back her ring: "You have seven rings. Well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back." Even Brady's former teammates, Bledsoe and Edelman, made jests about the former couple's past marriage.
After 13 years of marriage, Brady and Bündchen filed for divorce on Oct. 28, 2022. They share two children: son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10. (Brady also has a son, John "Jack" Edward, with ex Bridget Moynahan.)
The source further revealed that amidst the controversy, Bündchen has been actively involved in aiding those affected by the devastating floods in her home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which is experiencing its worst flooding in history. She has been dedicated to assisting her family and others in need. Bündchen has also taken to Instagram to raise awareness and funds for the victims through the brazilfoundation.org for the Light Alliance Emergency Fund.
