Introducing the real Martha. The lady who supposedly served as the model for the Netflix comedy Baby Reindeer's stalker character, Martha, has come forward to identify herself.

In an interview that aired on May 9, Fiona Harvey discussed her purported association with the show's creator, Richard Gadd, who claims to have met the Martha character while working as a bartender in London in 2013.

Piers Morgan announced that Fiona will "set the record straight" about the saga, following an unidentified woman who claimed Baby Reindeer had wronged her. Fiona claimed Richard was using Baby Reindeer to stalk her, accusing him of bullying an older woman for fame and fortune. She claimed Richard had written a bloody show about her.

The TV series, which bills itself as a "true story," centers on optimistic comedian Donny Dunn (Richard), who works as a bartender and meets and befriends Martha (played by actress Jessica Gunning). Martha starts contacting Donny incessantly through email, referring to him as "Baby Reindeer" and "Nipple" in reference to a plush animal she used to own. For Donny, who viewers discover is still recovering from an abusive previous relationship, it gets too much.

In an emotional sense, everything is absolutely true. Everything is taken from things that actually happened to me and actual people I met," the actor stated to Variety on April 19. Of course, it is not possible to portray the whole truth for aesthetic and legal reasons. You can't just take someone else's life and name and put it on television; after all, there are protections in place."

Richard has advised viewers not to place too much emphasis on the characters, even though it's possible that he drew inspiration for the touching drama from real-life situations.

Richard posted on Instagram, "Please don't speculate on who any of the real-life people could be." "That's not the point of our show."
