The investigation, which commenced in July, centered on accusations that Shakira utilized an offshore company to evade paying taxes amounting to €6.6 million ($7.2 million) in 2018. However, the singer promptly settled the debt just a month later, according to reports.

This recent court ruling comes on the heels of Shakira resolving another tax fraud case with the Spanish government in November, nearly six months prior. The saga began in 2018 when Spanish prosecutors alleged that the Latin American icon failed to pay €14.5 million (about $15 million) in taxes on income earned between 2012 and 2014.

Following an extensive year-long investigation, prosecutors argued that Shakira had falsely claimed the Bahamas as her residence, a jurisdiction with a lower tax rate than Spain, while spending a significant portion of that time in Spain. The Associated Press reported that in 2017, Shakira's name surfaced in the "Paradise Papers," which exposed offshore tax arrangements of prominent individuals, including Madonna and Bono.

With the conclusion of the investigation and the dismissal of charges, Shakira can now breathe a sigh of relief, putting behind her the legal battles that have shadowed her career in recent years.
