Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have not been seen together in public for 47 days, amidst growing reports of marital tension. The celebrity couple's absence from joint appearances — their last being a hand-in-hand moment in New York City on March 30 — has sparked rumors of issues between the 51-year-old actor-director and the 54-year-old singer.

Lopez was in New York throughout April and early May, promoting her upcoming Netflix film Atlas and preparing for the 2024 Met Gala, where she served as co-chair and attended without Affleck. She also worked on the film Kiss of the Spiderwoman.

Meanwhile, Affleck has been on the west coast filming The Accountant 2 and attended the May 5 Roast of Tom Brady alone.Reps for Affleck and Lopez did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The couple, who were famously together from 2002 to 2004 before rekindling their romance in 2021, eloped in Las Vegas in July the following year. They later hosted a grand reception for family and friends at Affleck's 87-acre estate near Savannah.

Among the attendees were Matt Damon, Kevin Smith, and the couple's blended family: Lopez's twins Max and Emme, 16, and Affleck's children with Jennifer Garner — Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.

Since their reunion, Lopez has shared their romantic story in interviews and in the 2024 documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

At a screening and Q&A in Los Angeles in February, Lopez admitted that it was "scary" to open up about her life, noting that Affleck was a reluctant participant. She recounted asking him during the movie if it felt weird, to which he responded affirmatively. Lopez remarked, "You're crazy," but acknowledged that vulnerability is essential for an artist. "You have to get down to the real parts of yourself to share what it's like to be human. And that is a scary thing to do," she said.
