Two flight attendants have accused NFL kicker Brandon McManus of sexual assault during a team flight to London last September, according to a newly filed lawsuit. The women, identified as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, were working on the Jacksonville Jaguars' team-chartered flight on September 28. They allege that McManus "grinded" his clothed erect penis against them during meal service and attempted to kiss Jane Doe 1 earlier in the flight.

McManus, who has since signed with the Washington Commanders, denies the allegations. His attorney, Brett R. Gallaway, refuted the claims, stating, "These are absolutely fictitious and demonstrably false allegations made as part of a campaign to defame and disparage a talented and well-respected NFL player. We intend to aggressively defend Brandon's rights and integrity and clear his name by showing what these claims truly are – an extortion attempt."

The lawsuit also names the Jaguars, accusing the team of "gross negligence" for failing to provide a safe work environment for the flight staff. Head coach Doug Pederson stated at a press conference, "I cannot comment until more information is gathered."

The Commanders, McManus's current team, acknowledged the lawsuit in a statement: "On Monday, we were made aware of the civil lawsuit filed on May 24 against Brandon McManus. We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter. We have been in communication with the League Office and Brandon's representation, and will reserve further comment at this time."

NFL spokesperson Tim Schlittner confirmed the league's awareness of the lawsuit but declined to comment further.

Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the flight attendants, stated that attempts to resolve the matter outside of court were unsuccessful. "Our efforts at resolution were met with arrogance, ignorance, and stupidity," Buzbee said on social media.

The women claim to have suffered and continue to suffer psychological and emotional distress due to McManus's alleged actions. They are seeking over $1 million in damages and have demanded a jury trial. Buzbee emphasized the seriousness of the allegations, stating, "We made sure to fully vet them and speak to witnesses before even taking the cases. We will pursue this case with the same tenacity we are known for. It's a shame that this type of conduct still occurs. It happens far too often."

The legal proceedings are ongoing, and the NFL community awaits further developments in this high-profile case.
