Lupita Nyong'o has confirmed her breakup with actor Joshua Jackson after dating for over a year. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, Nyong'o spoke about the split, revealing that she is focusing on her relationship with her rescue cat, Yoyo, instead of jumping back into dating. "My love for my cat is singular. If I'm ever so lucky to be in a romantic relationship again, it'll be because of him," she said, adding, "I was ready to shut that door and lock it and bolt it. He has ensured that my heart remains open."

A tragic incident has claimed the life of a skilled mountaineer. Professional alpine climber Michael Radner, who scaled Alaska's Cassin Ridge, Denali's Isis Face, and the East Face of Mount Hunter, died on October 7 in a fall while hiking up Nepal's Jannu East mountain with his longtime climbing partner Sam Hennessey, according to Arc'teryx, a climbing gear brand that sponsored him.
