The return of four-time Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel to competitive racing could be a highly thrilling development for the motorsport world. Away from F1 since his 2022 retirement, Vettel announced his involvement in the 2025 ROC on March 7-8 at Accor Stadium in Sydney. It would mark the ROC’s first outing in the Southern Hemisphere, with extra spice around this event.

In the mid-1990s, SsangYong Motor Company, a South Korean manufacturer better known for its SUVs and trucks, made an unexpected foray into endurance racing. This bold attempt was supposed to break new ground by entering the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans, making SsangYong the first Korean automaker to compete in the prestigious event. The effort was led by 1991 Le Mans winner and former Formula 1 driver Bertrand Gachot, who through his ingenuity and dogged determination brought the unlikely project into life.

BMW M Motorsport celebrated a landmark success in the 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour as it scored a dominant 1-2 finish and its maiden victory of the GT3 era at Mount Panorama. The #32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 driven by Sheldon van der Linde, Kelvin van der Linde and Augusto Farfus won out, ahead of the sister #46 car shared by Valentino Rossi, Raffaele Marciello and Charles Weerts.

An open-hearted interview for The Times saw Ralf Schumacher talk about his life-one filled with various challenges as the little brother of Michael Schumacher, the hero of Formula One. While Michael is synonymous with great heights of F1 success, Ralf had to confront the continuous comparison and family pressures throughout his career. “People look at you and everything you do is not good enough,” Ralf admitted, the constant pressure of being measured against his brother’s achievements. Despite competing in Formula One from 1997 to 2007, securing six Grand Prix victories and 27 podium finishes, Ralf often felt overshadowed by Michael’s record of 91 race wins and seven world championships.
