Logan Paul has sold his ultra-rare Pikachu Illustrator trading card for a record-breaking $16.492m (£12m), according to auction house Goldin.

The influencer and WWE performer originally bought the card in 2021 for $5.275m, setting a world record at the time. Five years on, the sale has more than tripled that figure, with a custom diamond necklace included in the deal.

The card, widely described as the "holy grail" of Pokémon collectibles, is one of roughly 40 Pikachu Illustrator cards produced for a late-1990s illustration contest. Paul's copy is the only example to receive a perfect Grade 10 rating from authentication agency Professional Sports Authenticator, meaning it is considered virtually flawless.

Robert Duvall, the Oscar-winning actor who is known for his roles in The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, has died at 95.

His death, was confirmed in a statement issued by his wife, Luciana, who said he passed away peacefully at home on Sunday evening in Middleburg, Virginia, surrounded by family.

"Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time," the statement read.

Born Robert Selden Duvall, the actor built a career spanning more than seven decades, earning acclaim for his quiet intensity and naturalistic performances. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for 1983's Tender Mercies and received multiple nominations over the course of his career.

Duvall first gained attention in 1962's To Kill a Mockingbird, delivering a silent yet memorable turn as Boo Radley. He went on to appear in more than 90 films, collaborating with some of Hollywood's most celebrated directors.

Lindsey Vonn's path to recovery has not been easy.

After colliding during the women's downhill final at the Olympics in Cortina, Italy on February 8, the alpine ski racer shared a more detailed update on her recovery from her most recent surgery.

“Surgery went well today!” Lindsey, who has undergone more than three procedures in seven days since the incident, wrote in the caption of a February 14 Instagram post. "Fortunately, I will be able to return to the United States! Once I return, I will provide you with additional updates and information about my injury."

But for now, the 41-year-old is reflecting on the terrifying incident that resulted in a broken left tibia.

“When I think back on my crash, I didn’t stand in the starting gate unaware of the potential consequences,” she explained. "I understood what I was doing. I decided to take a risk. Every skier at the starting gate took the same risk. Because even if you are the strongest person in the world, the mountain always has the upper hand."

"So please don't be sad," she said. "The ride was well worth the fall. When I close my eyes at night, I have no regrets, and my love of skiing remains. I'm still looking forward to the time when I can stand on top of the mountain once more. And I will.”

Directors Daniel Sivan and Mor Loushy insist there was no creative control, no advance screenings and no special treatment.

Banks, they say, will watch it like the millions of subscribers at Netflix, with fresh eyes.

It took months of conversations before she agreed to participate, but when cameras rolled, emotions followed.

According to the filmmakers, she was "very emotional," determined to tell her side as former contestants and judges shared theirs.

The series revisits infamous moments, including her explosive clash with Tiffany Richardson and the now-viral tirade that once played as camp but today feels unsettling.

The Chicago Bears safety and husband to Simone Biles shared a post about a scary moment in the Olympics host city, claiming that he almost had a shopping bag stolen away from him while walking around.

"Not somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag in Milan, force of habit i had it tied around my hand so he couldn’t get it and took off running immediately….but still crazy," Owens, 30, posted on X on Sunday, Feb. 15.

Savannah Guthrie has issued a plea for her 84-year-old mother's release two weeks after she disappeared in a suspected kidnapping, telling anyone involved that "it is never too late to do the right thing".

In her latest video appeal, the US TV anchor addresses "whoever has her, or knows where she is" - adding that Nancy Guthrie's loved ones "still have hope".

It comes as investigators analyse DNA found on a glove that they recovered. The glove being studied appears to match one that was worn by a suspect who appeared in doorbell-camera footage taken the night Nancy Guthrie went missing.
