Universal Pictures has officially set August 6, 2027, as the release date for Miami Vice, a big-screen reboot helmed by director Joseph Kosinski. The filmmaker, who scored huge box office success with Top Gun: Maverick and this year’s Formula One racing drama F1, will now turn his eye to the neon-lit streets of 1980s Miami.

Lionsgate is officially bringing back The Last Witch Hunter for a long-awaited sequel, with Vin Diesel set to reprise his role as Kaulder, the immortal warrior who hunts down dark witch covens. Cameras are rolling on Anxious People, the highly anticipated feature adaptation of Fredrik Backman’s bestselling novel. The project has added Emmy-nominated actor Jason Segel to a cast already led by Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie and BAFTA-winner Aimee Lou Wood.
