Justin Baldoni is responding to a major development in his ongoing legal dispute with Blake Lively after a federal judge dismissed a significant portion of her claims.

On April 2, Judge Lewis J. Liman of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York issued a ruling on Baldoni's motion to partially dismiss the case connected to the film It Ends with Us. The judge dismissed 10 of the 13 claims brought by Lively, narrowing the scope of the lawsuit as it moves forward.

Following the decision, Baldoni's legal team expressed approval of the outcome. In a statement shared with PEOPLE, attorneys Alexandra Shapiro and Jonathan Bach said they were pleased that the court had dismissed all sexual harassment claims, as well as claims against several individual defendants named in the suit. They emphasized that the court carefully reviewed the evidence, along with the legal arguments presented by both sides.

Keke Palmer has shared new insight into the moment she realized "something was wrong" when a fan unexpectedly proposed to her during a public appearance at SXSW.

The incident took place during the March 13 SXSW Festival panel titled "Baby, This is Keke Palmer Live," where a man from the audience approached the stage and got down on one knee while holding out an engagement ring. The moment quickly went viral after footage was shared online.

Speaking on the April 1 episode of the podcast Decisions, Decisions, Palmer explained that what initially made her suspicious was the quality of the ring. She noted that it appeared far from a simple or novelty item and instead looked quite valuable. That detail, she said, immediately signaled to her that the situation might not be a lighthearted joke.

Palmer had been in Austin for the festival, where her film I Love Boosters premiered on March 12. While moderating the panel the following day, she encountered the unexpected proposal firsthand. She recalled being struck not only by the gesture itself but also by the man's demeanor, which seemed unusually sincere.
